Learn Manx This Autumn!

September brings a fresh start for Manx learners, with Culture Vannin’s adult language classes beginning again after the summer break.

September brings a fresh start for Manx learners, with Culture Vannin's adult language classes beginning again after the summer break. These classes are suitable for anybody aged 16+.

It’s the perfect time to take up something new – or to return to your Manx studies with renewed energy. And with 2026 set to be the Year of the Manx Language, there’s no better moment to begin or resume the journey.

This Autumn there are 14 courses to choose from, including ten that run throughout the academic year and four shorter, more intensive options taking place at weekends or in the evenings.

Four online courses are also available, with something to suit every level – from complete beginners to confident speakers.

To support the growing demand for lessons, Culture Vannin is introducing recommended donations from September. These contributions will help cover the real costs of tuition, venues, and resources, while keeping classes open and accessible to all.

Learners can also explore the Loayr Gaelg (speak Manx) course books to find the right level for them before starting.

If you’re interested in joining a class for the first time, or continuing learning at a new level, full details and sign-up links are available here

Gaelg aboo! Hurray for Manx Gaelic!
