The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture’s Manx Blue Carbon Project and Manx National Heritage are teaming up to deliver a workshop on Spectacular Seaweeds as part of The Manx Nature Show.

Children ages 7-12 are invited to discover the incredible world of our spectacular seaweed – from the many unexpected ways we use it, to the fascinating array of sea creatures which rely on it and how it can help in our response to climate change.

In this interactive workshop you’ll find out about seaweed and other ‘blue carbon’ around the Island, create your own seaweed pressings with curators and conservators from the Manx Museum, and work in small teams to develop a business idea based around using seaweed sustainably.

This workshop is held at Cathedral Isle of Man on Thursday 20th April from 1pm-2.30pm. To book a free place email Jacqui.Keenan@gov.im

To find out about other workshops and events during The Manx Nature Show, visit the workshops section of the website.
