Biosphere Isle of Man is delighted that the 25th Inter-Island Environment Meeting (IIEM25) will be held on the Isle of Man for the first time – a fitting setting for this special anniversary year.
Hosted by Manx Wildlife Trust, and sponsored by Visit Isle of Man, both key stakeholders and partners of Biosphere, IIEM25 will welcome conservationists, environmental organisations, and sustainability-focused businesses from across the UK Crown Dependencies, British Islands, and Ireland.
It is taking place at the Villa Marina from 17–19 September, and this year’s theme is Collaboration for Greater Impact.
The first two days will feature talks, workshops, and field trips exploring the Island’s diverse habitats and projects within our Biosphere designation. The third day will focus on strengthening partnerships between environmental bodies and businesses, supporting shared goals around biodiversity and climate action.
As well as reflecting on a quarter-century of knowledge-sharing, IIEM25 aims to spark new ideas and connections that will shape the next 25 years of environmental progress across our islands.
Delegates are invited to present their work through talks, posters, or short presentations aimed at business collaboration. Submissions are open until 31 May 2025.
Join and celebrate 25 years of connection and cooperation!
