If you do need to buy, choose local – our Island’s makers and markets offer beautiful, sustainable decorations and gifts, from wreaths and candles to art, jewellery and clothing.

Timers and rechargeable batteries are a great way to reduce energy use and waste. And if you’re buying an advent calendar, opt for a reusable wooden or fabric one filled with your own treats.
Shop Local, Support Community
Pop-up Christmas markets and independent shops are thriving, offering unique gifts with meaning and longevity. Many businesses now provide online ordering and delivery, making it easier than ever to support local.
