A podcast featuring the winners of the UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man Awards 2022 is now live.

In it, Dr Michelle Haywood MHK, Political member for Environment with the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture, and representatives of the award winners discuss sustainability, the future, their commitment to UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man, their award-winning projecst and what it meant to win an award.

The annual awards celebrate organisations and individuals' contribution to our UNESCO Biosphere and inspire others. The 2022 awards were presented by His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor, Sir John Lorimer, and Lady Lorimer.

The podcast is hosted by Manx Radio presenter Howard Caine and features Rhodes Brown of Capital International Group (Economy award); Wendy Shimmin of the One World Centre (Education award); Jason Buckley of Zurich in the Isle of Man (Energy award) and David Bellamy of Manx Wildlife Trust and representing the Manx farming community for its adoption of the Agri-Environment Scheme (Environment award). 

Enjoyment/engagement award winner Versa was unable to take part.
