YellOH are a local occupational health company. Following a recent move to new offices, YellOH is installing Wi-Fi controlled thermostats to ensure energy is used only where needed, and replacing all lighting with energy-efficient alternatives. Staff are encouraged to switch off equipment when not in use, and the company is working with its landlord to explore replacing the oil heating system with a more sustainable energy source.
As part of its growth strategy, YellOH aims to minimise waste and operate as paper-free wherever possible. Clinical waste is carefully managed, with a focus on using reusable or recycled products to reduce unnecessary disposal. The company’s mobile clinic team travels across the Island, and plans are in place to install an EV charging point at the office, with future vehicle upgrades transitioning to electric models.
YellOH is also working with clients to reduce paper use by encouraging the creation of employee IT hubs. These hubs allow staff to access YellOH’s systems digitally, even if they lack IT access at home, supporting a more inclusive and environmentally friendly approach.
While YellOH’s work is primarily focused on occupational health, it recognises the importance of contributing to the Island’s sustainability goals. Through practical steps and ongoing improvements, the company is helping to protect natural resources, reduce waste, and support a greener future for the Isle of Man.
