Love Tech Limited inspire and empower girls to explore opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) on the Isle of Man.

Part of Love Tech’s education programme is around sustainability and protecting the natural environment. One of their mentors is a marine biologist and they work with local charities including beach buddies and Manx Wildlife Trust. They try to educate young people on how technology can be used to protect our natural resources.

Love Tech encourages girls and young women to consider STEM-related work subjects through working with schools and UCM holding events that evidence what careers are available in this area and what further opportunities there are in the Isle of Man in STEM; this further develops our economy by encouraging young people to work in the Island. There is also a network of young women in STEM who are mentors that assist the committee in delivering the education programme across the Island.

Love Tech also support and promote our cultural heritage and have worked with Manx National Heritage and co-hosted events at the Manx Museum.

Love Tech make their environmental impact positive by providing educational events on plastics in the ocean, working with Manx Wildlife Trust, Beach Buddies and the Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch. The charity tries to encourage young people to consider how STEM can solve environmental issues.

Love Tech engages with the local community and have worked with the Brownies, local primary schools, attended StemFest and other career events, we have worked with the Manx Wildlife Trust, Manx Dolphin Watch, Beach Buddies, Henry Bloom Noble Library, IOMG re StemFest and careers events, provided mentoring to young people regarding STEM careers and donated hundreds of books to local primary schools.
