Isle of Man Maritime are a not-for-profit maritime cluster organisation. It was set up to promote the Island's maritime sector, to support and promote the Island as a centre of maritime excellence and to facilitate open conversations with Government on various topics relating to the maritime sector on the Isle of Man.
Isle of Man Maritime are fully supportive of sustainable maritime practices and work closely with the Isle of Man Ship Registry to support their green initiatives.The organisation and its members actively support and get involved with charitable initiatives such as beach cleans (Beach Buddies), pollution mapping (Eyesea) and try to promote sustainable practices among its members and its wider audience.
Isle of Man Maritime are actively promoting the maritime sector to the younger generation in schools and colleges, and are hosting their own dedicated maritime expo for those interested in a career in maritime.
They host an annual tall ship experience for Manx youth to introduce them to maritime, which is so integral to the island's economy and a huge part of its history. They have undertaken a large scale maritime history project which is being developed into something more for visitors to enjoy in the near future.
The organisation regularly engage with the wider community, interacting with local government departments, fisheries and local businesses, with the continued aim of promoting the Island as a maritime centre of excellence, and to wholly support our Island's maritime sector.
