Little Moot Studio is a one-woman, work-from-home business which naturally reduces the need to commute to an office every day. Business conscious decisions are made all the time in relation to printing and inks such as recycled paper and the use of the Epson Eco-Tank printer which is the most eco-friendly printer on the market for small-business use. Packaging is reused from incoming parcels to be used when wrapping up and posting outgoing parcels. Paper is used over plastic wherever possible such as in packaging and design. Eco-friendly materials are used in the creative process such as digital media, recycled paper, pencils, watercolour and cotton yarn.
Little Moot Studio contributes positively to the wider creative industries with a low environmental impact. Much of the content is produced is for online sharing with a limited range of physical products made from natural materials. Single-use plastics have no place in the business and eco-friendly alternatives are always sought.
Little Moot Studio is dedicated to promoting and supporting our unique Manx Culture and Heritage, encouraging islanders to see themselves as stewards of the natural environment by participating and/or educating audiences in folkloric calendar customs which serve to remind us of the important link we have between ourselves and the natural environment.
Little Moot Studio aims to help support the initiatives taking place with Biosphere Isle of Man through the sharing of folklore customs and creative works, thereby encouraging a strengthened relationship and respect for the natural environment.
Little Moot Studio is an active participant in Manx community events such as Yn Chruinnaght festival, Tynwald Day, Hop Tu Naa events and various Manx Music and Language events that take place throughout the year. Little Moot Studio is also actively involved with the local creative industries such as being a member of the Creative Network and the Keird Collective.
