Disability Networks is an Isle of Man charity run entirely by volunteers whose website connects disabled people and their families up with advice, information, equipment and services that help raise their quality of life.
This includes connecting users electronically to more than 200 sources of information, providing an important community service and helping save on printed materials.
The Facebook page Disability Networks also provides information on events and other general news. It is used also to gain feedback from service users when the charity is asked to join a consultation on relevant issues for our disabled community. You can find Disability Networks leaflets in doctors’ surgeries if you have no technical access.
The beautiful book “Magic of the Manx Glens” by author Susan Jellis includes useful icons for disability access. More detailed information is on the leisure page of the website. All profits from the book are generously donated to Disability Networks.
