With its head office in the Isle of Man, Hansard Global plc has been providing financial products and services to international clients since 1987.
Since becoming Biosphere Isle of Man partners in 2022, Hansard have continued to embed internal and external initiatives to support the five partner pledge points. As a financial services company Hansard feed into the Islands economy and set aside capital to fund initiatives that will help to support the local economy and employee wellbeing.
In 2024, Hansard invested in the Crossags Project, which is the first pilot carbon credit project on the Island and forms part of the Manx Wildlife Trust’s Hairpin Woodland Park. The ongoing commitment will help fund the management of the site, with the objectives of the project being to establish and sustainably develop the site into a native woodland, enhance biodiversity, sequester carbon, and engage with the local community.
Employees are given volunteering days each year to dedicate to local environmental and social charities including Junior Achievement Isle of Man, The Children’s Centre, and Manx Wildlife Trust. Employees are also supported with their own fundraising and CSR based activities, through matched sponsorship and flexible hours to support those activities.
Hansard’s head office building has been renovated to include motion sensor lights, new double-glazed windows, and an efficient heating system. Recycling bins are in all offices, with recycled paper being used when printing is required and recycled stationary purchased, where available.
To support our local heritage, Hansard sponsor a number of local events, including the annual Shennaghys Jiu Festival. Hansard also provide colleagues and their families with Friends of Manx National Heritage cards to encourage interaction and education with the sites around the Island.
