Connect Outdoors is an Isle of Man charity that uses nature-based activities to support health, wellbeing and community connection. Through programmes including woodland wellbeing, bushcraft, social prescribing, nature connection and cold-water experiences, they help people build stronger relationships with nature, each other and the Island's remarkable landscapes.
Protect Our Natural Resources
We deliver our outdoor programmes using low-impact practices, a leave-no-trace approach and sustainable harvesting principles, while helping participants understand and care for the natural environments they enjoy.
Develop Our Economy Sustainably
By working with local facilitators, suppliers and partners, and supporting preventative health and wellbeing through social prescribing, we contribute to a resilient and sustainable Island economy.
Support and Promote Our Cultural Heritage
We weave Manx culture, heritage and traditional outdoor skills into our activities, helping people connect with the Island's identity, history and sense of place.
Make Our Environmental Impact Positive
Through nature-based learning, environmental awareness initiatives and collaborative projects, we encourage people to take positive action for the environment and better understand the value of our natural systems.
Engage with the Local Community
We create inclusive opportunities for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to come together outdoors, building stronger connections with nature, community and wellbeing.
Promote Our Living Landscape and Seascape through UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man
Through woodland, coastal and wellbeing programmes, we help people experience and appreciate the Isle of Man's landscapes and seas while actively promoting the values of UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man.
