Cair Vie Cruise Services organises cruise ship visits to the Island, boosting the visitor economy.
It promotes the Island’s Biosphere at industry shows and events internationally.
It is developing tours for disembarking passengers that reduce carbon use and instead feature walking, cycling and other active pursuits.
It works closely with Manx National Heritage to ensure visitor numbers are staggered at sites to reduce traffic issues which result in increased exhaust pollution.
It is also working with charity Beach Buddies Isle of Man to involve passengers in beach cleaning activities while in the Isle of Man and arrange on-board lectures.
Along with the cruise companies it works with, Cair Vie Cruise Services is encouraging the removal of single-use plastic bottled water and is promoting the Refill Isle of Man scheme.
In its office, Cair Vie Cruise Services recycles waste paper as notepaper, recycles printer cartridges and doesn’t use single-use plastic.
