The One World Centre (Isle of Man) has launched its annual SDG Art competition, inviting Isle of Man schoolchildren to get creative for a cause.
This year’s theme is action for healthy seas and oceans, and young people are encouraged to design a poster showing how we can best protect our waterways and marine life for the future.
Open to both primary and secondary pupils, the competition supports the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 14: Life Below Water.
From tackling plastic pollution to supporting sustainable fishing, entries should inspire action for our precious seas.
Winners in each age group will receive £50 in creative vouchers, with two runners-up in each class earning £25.
As an island Biosphere nation, the sea surrounds and sustains us – but threats near and far like overfishing, pollution, and climate change are putting marine habitats at risk.
This competition encourages youngsters to think globally and act locally, drawing inspiration from nature, science, and even Sir David Attenborough’s latest documentary Ocean.
Entries close on Friday 25th July. Find full details, including entry forms and helpful resources here.
