Minister Boot commented, "The Post Office really embraced the spirit of our UNESCO recognition by their proactive approach to developing a series of stamps which will not only raise international awareness of our achievement but also serve as a powerful and graphic reminder to the Island community that we live and work in a special place."
It will be a very welcome addition to the existing partner organisations from industry and commerce. charities and Government.
Mr Boot also mentioned, "The presentation of a beautiful framed set of the stamps as a thank you to the secretary of the UNESCO global Man and Biosphere network during his visit to confirm the Islands membership was one of the highlights of his visit and he made it clear that it was a superb example of why they were so excited about what the Island will do to promote the objectives of the Man and Biosphere programme – I am assured the stamps have pride of place on his office wall in Paris."
