Rosie Greening is an artist and art tutor based in Douglas.

Rosie is publishing a book of her hand-drawn illustrations of native Manx fauna in 2025 as part of her work. She hopes to educate and spread awareness of the importance of the Island’s wild flowers and the restrictions around them in order to protect our natural resources. Rosie works mostly from reference photographs as nothing should ever be picked or taken away.

Rosie has needed a lot of help in creating her book, from guidance on plant locations & identification to marketing, materials and publishing and it has been important to locally source as much as possible on Island, such as finding an Isle of Man publisher to work with, but also working with organisations like Manx Wildlife trust and NBN Atlas. The book will also be sold locally and therefore contribute to our local economy.

Rosie runs weekly drawing tutorials on landscapes and botanical subjects and aims to engage more of the population not only with art but with our Islands cultural heritage through her tutorials. These tutorials bring communities together to discuss art, nature, culture and all things that our Biosphere has to offer.
