Aquabike Isle of Man is a leisure company based in Port Erin. A simple pedalling action turns a small propeller which allows users to glide effortlessly and quietly across the water.

The business is based in Port Erin as the beach is a 5 minute walk from the owner’s home, which drastically reduces emissions. The bay is protected on 3 sides so it can be utilised under a variety of wind directions, which also reduces the need to transport the Aquabikes to other locations across the Island.

During tours local history and local knowledge is shared with customers, highlighting the rich natural and built heritage of the area.

Aquabike Isle of Man follow the Isle of Man Coastal Code, Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch’s Cetacean Code of Conduct, the Shark Trust Basking Shark Code of Conduct and Manx Wildlife Trust’s Seal Code of Conduct, in order to limit wildlife disturbance.

The business also regularly report sightings of marine mammals and basking sharks to Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch.

Any litter found during the tour is collected if safe to do so and recycled or disposed of appropriately.

Aquabike Isle of Man take part in Port Erin Beach Day, The Festival of the Sea and Lifeboat Day Community events.

Their tours are designed for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the marine environment, and the Aquabikes provide a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone age 10+. No prior experience is required, and friendly guides are always on hand to help.
