Acclaim Limited are a trust and corporate service provider based in Douglas and have been operating on the Island since 2006.
Acclaim Limited has been a paperless office since 2014, using computer software for all of their record keeping. For any unavoidable printing, recycled paper is used and any paperwork that comes into their office via post or courier is recycled. They are continuing to adopt more digitised operations in all of their business developments and seeking more eco-friendly solutions to implement into their processes.
Acclaim Limited actively encourage members of staff to commute to work by foot or bicycle and in 2020 adopted digital meetings for their clients and staff members to cut down road and air travel to their office and reduce their carbon footprint. They have also implemented a working from home strategy and encourage staff on recycling and awareness of sustainable work practices.
Acclaim Limited’s founder and CEO has been actively involved in tree planting with the Woodland Trust, with plans to organise further tree planting to help reduce the net carbon footprint.
Acclaim is also looking to work with other local charities which are focusing on environmental issues and improvements. The aim is to incorporate such volunteering as part of the team building activity and Acclaim is incorporating into their environmental strategy for 2022 to volunteer for a local charity called Beach Buddies.
