Ventosus Micro Winery is a drinks producer in Port St Mary, making Red, White, Rose, and Sparkling wines.
Ventosus opened their Micro Winery in 2022, introducing a new Manx product and contributing to the local economy in a sustainable way. They collaborate with fellow businesses in the industry to create locally produced offerings in the food and drink arena. They have attended the annual Isle of Man Food and Drink Festival and other local food markets to promote their produce.
Ventosus package their products in recyclable bottles and their wines do not travel many miles from production to consumption, with the winery being based in Port St Mary. The company use no natural gas or space heating, just a small amount of electricity and a lot of elbow grease!
Ventosus waste is minimal and always non-toxic - the small amount of waste produced is recycled. Ventosus product labels contain a statement of sustainability encouraging people to return or recycle all associated materials and packaging of their bottles.
Ventosus labels are a nod to our unique Manx culture, with the logo being a triskelion reflecting the Island’s Celtic culture and the three legs of Mann.
Ventosus support local Manx charities and businesses throughout the year via product donations, or through offering time to support business objectives, often working with other businesses.
