The Energy FM Bowl is a family leisure centre offering bowling, a diner, bar and play area in Ramsey.
It has reduced its carbon footprint significantly over the last couple of years by upgrading the lighting to LED as well as installing far reach infra red heaters, which both contribute to using less energy.
Drinks are sold in cans and several recycling collection points have been installed for both cans and plastic bottles throughout the building. The admin office also recycles all used paper. Children's drinks are served in reusable beakers, while adults’ drinks are served in coated paper cups. The use of straws are discouraged by placing them behind the counter and only biodegradable straws are provided when they are requested.
Takeaway coffee is served in biodegradable cups and takeaway food in coated recycled cardboard. The venue is also a proud Refill Station.
The venue donates space to the Manx Wildlife Trust to highlight its work, supports the local community by holding fund raising events & donating to several Manx charities.
