St John’s Mill is a Training and Conference Centre. Its beautiful and tranquil setting offers a unique space for events. They encourage bookings from a wide range of organisations, including environmental groups, businesses, charities and trusts, and aim to provide an optimal learning space.

The location of the Mill makes it a uniquely serene and peaceful backdrop for strategy sessions, conferences, activities and training. Visitors say that the surroundings of Tynwald’s wooded valley, with its river and birdsong, can make for better and more creative outcomes than might be the case in a more traditional office setting. The Mill aims to have a positive impact on our environment wherever possible, from their use of resources, through to fostering the wildlife on their doorstep and their approach to catering.

Originally constructed as a fulling mill, the historic building is carefully maintained and the original 20- year-old waterwheel has been restored. They take part in Manx National Heritage open days, inviting the public to tour of the historic site.
