Isle of Man Fire and Folk Festivals (IOMFFF) is a community‑led, grassroots organisation celebrating and revitalising Manx culture, traditions, and seasonal customs. IOMFFF create inclusive, participatory festivals rooted in the Island’s heritage and seasonal rhythms, bringing people together to share culture, creativity, and community.
IOMFFF's work centres on re‑imagined traditional celebrations such as Oie Voaldyn ("ee vol-din") or May Day Eve, and Oie Houney ("ee how-nuh") or Hop Tu Naa marking Celtic new year's eve, creating welcoming spaces where Manx culture, language, music, storytelling, fire, and connection to nature are actively lived and shared.
Protect our natural resources
The festivals celebrated by IOMFFF are closely connected to the natural world and seasonal cycles. Reusable and low-impact materials are prioritised including local firewood, sustainable travel is encouraged, and there are continual efforts to reduce the environmental impacts of its events.
Develop our economy in a sustainable way
IOMFFF events support local businesses, suppliers, charities, artists, and musicians, helping sustain Manx cultural skills, creativity and community-based economic activity. Goods and services are sourced locally wherever possible and practical.

IOMFFF's events celebrate the Island’s natural and cultural heritage through the changing seasons. It supports the values of UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man and is keen to strengthen its involvement in promoting the Biosphere locally.
