International Financial Group Limited (IFGL) is an Isle of Man company offering, savings, investment and protections solutions to ex-pats and local nationals around the world.
The company is investing in green initiatives to become carbon neutral.
At its offices in Douglas and Castletown, single-use plastics are being eliminated and recycling initiatives are under way. Attempts are being made to save energy.
Both offices have spaces for nature. In Douglas there is a pond and in Castletown an area left undeveloped and containing trees and creating space for biodiversity.
As well as being a large employer, IFGL contributes to the economy in other ways. In Douglas, a lunchtime bus is laid on so staff can travel to the town centre and support other businesses. In Castletown, a staff kitchen supports a local food and drink supplier. IFGL also supports local businesses when holding social events.
Some IFGL staff are able to work from home and/or use a company car share scheme and there are charging points for electric vehicles at both offices. The company is working towards an assistance scheme for those switching to electric vehicles.
IFGL supports the community, sponsoring local sporting events such as the TT and supporting local athletes. It is a sustainability partner of the Manx Telecom Parish Walk, the Island’s largest participative event. Staff take part in charity and community events such as the World Championship Viking Longboat Races and Breast Cancer Now bra dashes. In 2023 IFGL supported more than 50 local charities and sporting endeavours.
