There are online forms to contact us, register as a Biosphere Buddy, register an interest in becoming a Biosphere Partner or share a photograph.

What INFORMATION IS BEING COLLECTED?

When you contact us via this site, you are asked to supply the following information:

Contact us: Your name, email, telephone number and what you are interested in doing

Register as a Biosphere Buddy: Your name and email

Register an interest in becoming a Biosphere Partner: Your name, email, telephone number and information about your organisation

Share a photograph: Your name and email

HOW WE use the information we gather

UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man uses the information you supply via website forms in the following ways

Contact us: We will receive and respond to your query and these emails are then subject to our standard DEFA retention schedule and will be deleted after three months.

Register as a Biosphere Buddy: We will add you to our mailing list and send you newsletters and details of events, etc.

Register an interest in becoming a Biosphere Partner: We will reply with a copy of our application form, which you can complete and email back to us, and an alternative link to complete the form online at www.gov.im/biosphere. This registration process also seeks your website address and social media addresses and a copy of your logo, as well as information on how your organisation meets the criteria of UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man. While we complete the registration process, we may email you for additional information about your organisation. Once your organisation is registered as a partner, your logo, website address and a description of how your organisation meets the criteria of UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man will be added to this website. Once you are registered as a partner, we will add you to our mailing list and send you newsletters and details of events, etc.

Share a photograph: We will retain the photo and details of your copyright and, should we use is in a publication or online, credit you with taking it.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

HOw do we share the information we collect about you?

Contact us: We do not share this information unless we have your express permission and need to do so for the purposes of publicising an aspect of UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man that you are involved in.

Biosphere Buddy: We do not share this information unless we have your express permission and need to do so for the purposes of publicising an aspect of UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man that you are involved in.

Partner: We share on this website your organisation's name, logo, website address and details of how your how your organisation meets the criteria of UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man. We also share any news announcement you make about your Partnership with UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man (on your website and/or social media channels) on our own social media channels.

Retain information for no longer than necessary and delete it once retention timeframes are reached.
